Wash less (once per week is recommended) with the help of some dry shampoo for those extra slick days.
COLD water...the colder the better! Think ice bucket challenge cold. This prevents your colour washing away as the cuticle will remain tight, trapping your colour within the hair. If its coming up to your next appointment and you want to change your colour, a little hot water will help remove colour ready for your new shade
Lay off the heat! You're not meant to cook your hair, so 180°c is good enough.
Olaplex no.4 & no.5 will help maintain your colour and strengthen your hair during your weekly wash. Stronger hair over time will maintain colour for longer. We retail these for £20 each.
We also offer Matrix Keep me Vivid Shampoo & Conditioner at £14 each, this will only maintain you colour but will not strengthen your hair.
Tie your hair up (if you can) when you get a lil sweaty or go swimming and pop a hat on if you’re in the sun.
Don't bleed everywhere. Dry your hair ASAP to stop the colour running out of your hair. Avoid white or light items of clothing, especially if you get a little sweaty. Take a spare pillow case or towel if you stay anywhere to avoid the colour bleeding onto someone else's items. This isn't for all creative colour so if you're not sure, just ask your stylist
Have your refresh appointment booked for 4-6 weeks. Your colour will fade, so having this booked ahead of time means we can keep it looking super cute for longer.
ALL hair colour will fade and change between appointments
Following our aftercare advise is a must for helping to prevent colour fade between appointments...but sometimes all we can do is slow down the fading process and not fully prevent it.
