First bookings
New clients must set up a client record when they book their first appointment. This will require personal details such as full name, phone number and email address. We will also ask if you are happy to be contacted by The Watt.
For cut appointments, The Watt reserves the right to request a non-refundable fee payable at the time of booking, however this will not always be necessary. This acts as a security for the appointment and will come off the service charge on the day of the cut. Not all stylists offer dry cuts, and in some cases these services will be carried out whilst another clients’ colour is processing. This will not affect the standard of your service.
For colour appointments, a free* consultation must always be attended before booking the full service, and we will request any inspiration pictures are sent through or brought along to your appointment so that we can offer the very best advice at consultation. We retain the right to turn down a service in any circumstance.
At the point of booking the full colour service at your consultation, a booking fee of £10 per hour of the appointment may be required. This booking fee total will then be taken off the total service cost on the day of the colour appointment. This must be paid via our online payment provider. This booking fee is refundable or transferable with 48+hrs notice prior to your appointment. Notification of any cancellations & amendments must be communicated before this 48+hr window. Cancelations + amendments with less than 48hr notice are non refundable / transferable to a new booking and will be lost.
If you leave your consultation without booking an appointment, and wish to then book in for your service, you may be required to do so by visiting the salon to pay the booking fee, alternatively, payment can be taken online via a payment link.
Cancellations & Amendments
Things happen – we get it. We’re all human and understand that sometimes there is a need to change or cancel your appointment. We ask that you let us know at your earliest convenience, so that we can offer the appointment to those on our cancellation list. We will always try our very best to accommodate your request to reschedule your appointment, but sometimes there may be a wait, or you may be offered an alternative stylist.
Please provide us with a minimum 48hrs notice for any appointment amendments, if you provide us with less than this, or fail to attend your booked appointment your booking fee will no longer be refundable / transferable to a new booking. We will also require a downpayment on your next appointment. Charges are a % of the booked service and are calculated as follows:

48 – 24hrs notice, 50% of booked service(s).

24 -12hrs notice, 75% of booked service(s).

12 – 0hrs notice, 75% of booked service(s).

*If a free consultation is missed or cancelled without 48+hr notice, a non refundable booking fee of £10 is required to schedule a new consultation. The new booking will have a fixed charge of £10, which the booking fee will be used for on the day of the consultation.
Not happy with your hair? Let us know within 7 days and we can get you booked back in for some colour or cut alterations. If you don't contact within 7 days then there will be charge for this service.
